Why we started Think Different Labs
Current large language models are remarkably capable at many tasks, but they share a fundamental limitation: they excel at convergent thinking (finding the single best answer to well-defined problems) while struggling with the kind of lateral, creative leaps that lead to innovation and breakthroughs.
When humans solve hard problems, we don't just follow logical chains. We make unexpected connections, reframe questions, and approach challenges from angles that weren't obvious at the start. This kind of thinking is precisely what's missing from today's AI.
Think Different Labs is building AI models designed from the ground up for creative cognition. Rather than optimizing solely for accuracy on benchmarks, we're developing models that can explore multiple conceptual frames, surface non-obvious connections, and generate genuinely novel approaches to problems.
